In the Face of Lions

10 When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.

In the Face of Lions
Daniel knelt and prayed, not in defiance, but in devotion. Though he knew the decree and the danger, he remained faithful to the Lord. His prayer was not a political protest but a confession of trust in the God who delivers. The world may see this as foolishness, but through the eyes of faith, we see Christ. Our Savior also faced death because of His obedience. Jesus did not waver under the threat of the cross. He prayed, submitted, and suffered, trusting the Father even as He bore our sin. Like Daniel, He was innocent, yet condemned. Daniel was delivered from the lions. Christ was not spared, but through His death and resurrection, He conquered sin and death for us. Now, in Christ, we too can pray with boldness, knowing that the One who faced the lions, and the cross, stands with us always.
