An Unshakable Kingdom
25 See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” 27 This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.

An Unshakable Kingdom
The world around us is constantly shifting, nations rise and fall, ideologies change, and even the ground beneath our feet can tremble. But God warns us not to refuse Him who speaks. At Mount Sinai, His voice shook the earth; at the cross, the heavens bore witness as darkness covered the land. Yet, through Christ’s death and resurrection, we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken. God’s final shaking will remove all that is temporary, leaving only what is eternal. Our security is not in earthly stability but in Christ alone, who endured the cross to establish His unshakable kingdom. Clinging to Him, we have a firm foundation, unmovable in His grace. Let us, then, worship with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. Yet in Christ, that fire purifies rather than destroys. His cross is our refuge. His kingdom is our inheritance.
