Confidence in Our Great High Priest

14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Heb 4:14–16

Confidence in Our Great High Priest
Jesus, our Great High Priest, stands at the center of our faith. Unlike the priests of old, He is both true God and true man, fully understanding our weaknesses while remaining sinless. He intercedes for us, not by offering repeated sacrifices, but by offering Himself once for all on the cross. His shed blood reconciles us to God, granting us forgiveness and peace. Because of His perfect work, we approach the throne of grace with boldness, not fear. This confidence isn’t rooted in our merit but in Christ’s righteousness, imputed to us through faith. His victory over sin, death, and the devil assures us that we find mercy and grace in our time of need. Let us hold fast to this confession, knowing that our High Priest has walked where we walk, suffered as we suffer, and triumphed for our salvation. At the cross, grace overflows for every sinner.
