Steadfast in Christ
7 Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. 9 Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them.

Steadfast in Christ
The world is ever-changing, but Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Faithful pastors and teachers who proclaimed His Word to us are gifts from God, pointing us to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith. Their example is not in their own strength but in their trust in Christ crucified. False teachings creep in, seeking to turn our hearts from the Gospel. But grace, not human effort, strengthens our hearts. Just as sacrifices under the old covenant pointed forward to Christ, so too do all faithful teachings center on Him who suffered outside the gate to sanctify us by His blood. Hold fast to Jesus, the unchanging rock of our salvation. Do not be led astray by shifting doctrines but be anchored in the cross, where God’s grace is made known. In Him alone, we find life, peace, and the strength to endure.
