And let us not grow weary of doing good,
for in due season we will reap,
if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9
Welcome to Bethlehem Lutheran Youth League!
Utilizing our youth to set an example, we will represent God's love to our Congregation, Community, and the World!
As an active part of the ministry at Bethlehem, our youth combine fun, fellowship, and service. They meet often to uphold one another spiritually and support the congregation.
We meet the first Sunday of the month after church.

What's Happening
Ring in the New Year with the Youth League!
Join us for an unforgettable New Year's Eve Youth League Party on December 31, right after the church service, from 8:30 PM to midnight.
Get ready for an evening packed with games, delicious food and drinks, and meaningful fellowship as we celebrate the blessings of the past year and welcome the one ahead.
As the clock strikes midnight, we'll gather at the church steeple to ring in the New Year by ringing the church bells—a cherished tradition symbolizing hope and joy. Middle school and high school youth are invited, and parents are welcome to join in ringing the bell at the end of the night!
Let’s start the New Year together in faith and fun! See you there!

Higher Things 2025
HE WHO WAS SEATED ON THE THRONE SAID, "I AM MAKING EVERYTHING NEW!"
(REVELATION 21:5)
Why Higher Things
The Theme: All Things New
We live in a culture of blurry religious distinctions and do-it-yourself spirituality. Youth, especially, need solid ground that will nurture lasting Christian faith. Rather than treating youth as an adolescent subculture and confusing them with religious experiences that cannot be replicated at home, Higher Things believes in challenging youth to learn the pure doctrine of the Christian faith. By teaching them the same message that they hear at home, youth grow in the fullness of the Christian faith as they come to appreciate historic liturgical practice and its unique focus on God’s gifts of forgiveness, life and salvation for us delivered in Word and Sacrament.
What you need to know.
We are still in the early stages of planning and will have more information in January. We plan on attending the conference on June 23-27, at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, in Amherst, MA.

The one who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Jesus promises that just as He is risen, we will rise. The last great enemy has been destroyed. Everlasting life belongs to all who believe…one day.
But for us, some days, that day feels far away. Like it’ll never come… like it’s been made for someone other than you.
Dear one, hear the promise for you today, too. “Behold, I am making all things new.”…right now. It doesn’t just mean that one day, everything will be fixed. It means that things are allowed to be broken today. Nothing can be so damaged that it can’t be made new. Nothing broken will say that way. There is a resurrection of all flesh.
We can look forward with hope, even when everything falls apart around us. The promise isn’t held at arm’s length. When today is still broke, He who sits on the throne wants you to cling to the promise now. You are already a child of God, and so you are already a child of the resurrection. Call the sin that destroys what it is. Call death the last great enemy. It has already been defeated.
Live a steadfast faith today no matter what things look like because you rest on a yesterday that was made whole on the cross. Realize that God hates the same things you war against too, but He has already won the victory… the victory that makes All Things New.

What Drives US
An important part of the Bethlehem congregation is its dedication to our youth. Bethlehem Lutheran is devoted to encouraging young people to become strong Christians and living out their faith in their homes, schools, and communities. To put into simpler terms, our philosophy can be summed up in three words: encourage, equip, establish.
Encourage
We want to encourage the youth. Every day, young people deal with very serious issues. Whether it is sex, drugs, peer pressure, whatever, it is important for adolescents to know that the church is the place they can turn to for help. We want to encourage them to take refuge in Christ and His church. Also, it is important to encourage the youth to know that they are part of the church right now and they do not have to wait until they are adults to serve. We see in 1 Corinthians 12:12-20 that we are a body made up of many different parts. It is crucial for teenagers to realize that they can worship and serve Christ right now.
Equip
We want to equip the youth. We firmly believe that adolescents need to be equipped with the tools of a solid faith, a servant's heart, and a working knowledge of the Bible. These are the things that will serve them their entire lives. We develop a solid faith through devotionals, thought-provoking retreats, and regular worship. We develop a sense of being a servant by helping our neighbor and each other. Finally, we develop a working knowledge of the Bible by spending time in the Word. That is the only true way to know what God really says.
Establish
We want to establish the youth. We want to establish the youth on the firm foundation given in faith by the Holy Spirit, to know that Christ is the solid rock on which they stand, all other ground is sinking sand. Because of the many snares and temptations that will be thrown at them by the devil, the world, and their own sinful flesh, it is essential that they have a sense of spiritual integrity founded only in Jesus Christ and grounded in His Word and Sacraments. This foundation comes from knowing the Bible, having spiritual role models, and maintaining an active worship life so as to receive God’s Means of Grace for the strengthening of their faith on a regular basis.
Overall, we want to interweave the youth into the church while building a relationship with God and thus creating mature, knowledgeable Christians who, when ready, are able and eager to assume leadership roles in their church.
And perhaps most importantly, we believe it is important to support parents in raising their teenagers in Christ. The Youth League cannot compete with school, the many extracurricular activities, and other things that take up today's teenager's time. So, we strive to give both teens and parents the tools, the questions, and the answers that they need to grow in the Lord. All efforts we make, we make as a team toward the common goal: A faithful confessional Lutheran, who will continue their study of God’s Word presented in Holy Scripture and explained through the Small Catechism throughout their life.
