A Kingdom That Cannot Be Shaken

28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, 29 for our God is a consuming fire.

A Kingdom That Cannot Be Shaken

We live in a world of uncertainty, where kingdoms rise and fall, and even the strongest institutions crumble. But as God’s redeemed people, we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken. This is not a kingdom of earthly power but of Christ’s righteousness, won for us on the cross. Because of this, we approach God with reverence and awe. He is a consuming fire, burning away all that is unholy. Yet in His mercy, He does not consume us, for Christ has already borne the fire of God’s wrath in our place. Through His sacrifice, we stand secure, worshiping with grateful hearts. Let us never take this gift lightly but serve God with joy, knowing He has made us citizens of His unshakable kingdom. The cross stands firm, and in Christ, so do we. Thanks be to God!
