Confidence in Christ

4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. 5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we can confidently say,
                  “The Lord is my helper;
      I will not fear;
                  what can man do to me?”

Heb 13:4–6

Confidence in Christ
Marriage is God’s gift, designed for faithfulness and purity. Yet the world devalues it, encouraging selfishness and unfaithfulness. God warns that He will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. This is not a call to despair but a reminder of our need for Christ. Likewise, the love of money tempts us to trust in wealth instead of God’s providence. But earthly riches cannot save us. Only Christ, who was forsaken on the cross, secures our true and lasting treasure, eternal life in Him. God’s promise stands: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Because of Jesus, we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear.” No matter what trials come, temptations, financial struggles, or cultural pressures, Christ remains faithful. He bore our sins and gives us His righteousness. With Him, we lack nothing. Rest in His unfailing love and trust in His promises.
