I Saw a Dream

4 I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at ease in my house and prospering in my palace. 5 I saw a dream that made me afraid. As I lay in bed the fancies and the visions of my head alarmed me. 6 So I made a decree that all the wise men of Babylon should be brought before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream. 7 Then the magicians, the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers came in, and I told them the dream, but they could not make known to me its interpretation.
Daniel 4:4-7

I Saw a Dream
In the name of the Father and the + Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. The fancies and visions of our head alarm us all the time. Our hearts carry us off into all kinds of worry and anxiety. We have dreams that lead us away from reality and from the Word of God. In the midst of our worry, we seek answers. It is at the foot of the Cross of Jesus that answers are given. He bids us cast our worry and our anxiety on him. He will take care of it. Christ will battle your greatest fears and your most detrimental dreams. He takes on the powers of darkness and evil and defeats them all by his own blood. This is the God that loves you so much that promises to take care of you in all your needs. Ward off the attacks of the evil one with the Word of God. Put on the armor of God that he has granted for your safety and stand on the foundation that is Jesus alone. In the name of + Jesus. Amen.
