Victory Over Death
50 I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:50-53

Victory Over Death
This passage reminds us that "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God." Our earthly bodies are tainted by sin and destined for decay. But God’s promise in Christ is greater. Through the cross, Jesus defeated sin, death, and the devil, transforming the corruptible into the incorruptible. On the Last Day, in a moment, we will be changed, clothed with immortality. The perishable nature of our bodies will be swallowed up in the victory of Christ's resurrection. This transformation is not our doing; it is the work of God through Christ, who bore our sin on the cross and rose victorious. As we wait for that day, we cling to the hope that death no longer has dominion over us. Our faith rests in the sure promise that in Christ, we have life everlasting, a life that cannot be corrupted or ended.
