Don't Be Uniformed

12 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. 2 You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

Don't Be Uniformed
We find it hard to believe that we were led astray. It is extremely difficult for someone to convince us that we have been lied to. The Holy Spirit must bring clarity and peace by his Word. The clear thing to remember here is that the Spirit dwells in us, by the giving of Jesus in love to us. This Holy Spirit dwells in our heart. We are a temple to our God. He has made us this. Therefore you can see and hear. No one says, "Jesus is accursed!" if he is a believer in Jesus. So also, no one says, "Jesus is Lord," if he is an unbeliever. It is by the Spirit of the living God that you believe in this Jesus. He has called you by the Gospel, enlightened you with his gifts, and sanctified and kept you in the true faith. He is the one that has brought the spoils of Jesus' cross to you that you would be made new in them.
