The Coming Harvest

And he said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
Mark 4:26–29

The Coming Harvest
Jesus shares the Parable of the Growing Seed, illustrating the mysterious and divine nature of God's kingdom. He says, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how." This passage reminds us of God's quiet yet powerful work in our lives. We trust in the efficacy of God's Word, knowing it accomplishes His purposes even when we cannot see it at work. Just as the farmer trusts the seed to grow, we trust God to nurture the faith He plants in our hearts. Our role is to faithfully scatter the seeds—sharing the Gospel and living out our faith—while relying on God's timing for growth and harvest. Let us find peace in knowing that the growth of God’s kingdom is not dependent on our understanding or effort but on His grace and power.
