Struggling on Your Behalf

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God. For I bear him witness that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis.

Struggling on Your Behalf
Being in the family of God means that we bear the burdens of our fellow Christians. We love because we have first been loved by Christ Jesus. Saint Paul, in other places, tells you that suffering is a blessing to mark you as one that belongs to Jesus. The faith that the Holy Spirit plants in our hearts is a faith that pulls us out of our selfishness and forces us to see the need of our neighbor. Thus, Epaphras prayed for his brothers and sisters in Christ and we pray for our family in Christ, too. Lift up your petitions for your neighbors and your friends. Tell God your deepest desires. Ask the Lord to give you the forgiveness and life that Jesus has won for you. Ask, because he has told you he delights in it.
