Work Heartily
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.
Col 3:23–25

Work Heartily
St. Paul captures a profound truth that is vital for our Christian lives: the call to serve the Lord in all aspects of our lives. He urges us not to compartmentalize our faith but to integrate it into every sphere, every action, every decision. Whether we are engaged in our vocations at work, at home, in our communities, or within the church, we are called to do so with wholehearted dedication, for we are not only serving our neighbor, but we are serving the Lord. Too often we seek recognition and approval from others in our endeavors. We find ourselves striving for success, wealth, or accolades, all in the pursuit of earthly rewards. Whether our work is noticed or goes unseen by others, whether it brings immediate success or seemingly falls short, our labor is significant in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. As we go about our daily lives, let us remember that we are not merely working for human masters or earthly gain. We are serving the Lord Christ Himself. May this truth inspire and guide us in all that we do, motivating us to work with excellence, integrity, and love, knowing that our labor in the Lord is never in vain.
