Grafted In

Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and thus save some of them. For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead? If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches.

The message has come to you, too. It has to come to you. The Lord has sent it by way of his messengers. He cares for you and redeems you by the blood of his Son. You have become children of Abraham by the blood of Jesus. You were not a people, but God has made you his own, and continues to call. He is long suffering. He is the manifestation of steadfast love. He makes jealous and calls his ancient people by the preaching of this Gospel for the whole world. You have been made holy because you have been grafted into the vine. The Root is holy and that means you are holy.
