The Will of the Lord

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:15–17

The Will of the Lord
The will of man is diametrically opposed to the will of God. We want things that are fleeting and fainting. We want things that moth and rust will destroy. The Lord wants our eternal salvation. He desires that no one perish, but that everyone live in him. So he sends his Son to the cross to win the victory for you and me. He breaks and hinders every evil plan and purpose of the devil, the world, and our sinful nature by shedding his blood and dying. Then he sends you his Holy Spirit so that he can strengthen and keep you in his Word and faith until he takes you to himself.
